Art and Flow: Personalized Group Introduction to Art for Wellness (1 hour Workshop)
Trying to take care of yourself during 2020 has been challenging, particularly with the never-ending changes and stressors of the current environment. Working on your emotional wellbeing is one of the most important aspects you can do for yourself to be able to stay on top of your game and be able to feel relaxed and hopeful regardless of what happens outside.
This workshop is designed to cater to your group’s emotional and creative needs. By the end of it, everyone will learn how art is a great self-management tool that can help individuals navigate difficult emotions, feel relaxed and grounded and at the same time and how to be more resilient. Think of it as an introduction to Yoga for the mind.
During our hour together for the group of your choice (max. 8 people, must be 18+ to participate), along side the beverage of your choice (tea, wine, water, you choose!) we will use different art materials that introduce how Introspective Art can be a practice to lose fear of art creating, begin art making as mindfulness/meditation practice and provide exercises for emotional release and relaxation. Please know, It’s such a simple art making technique that almost anybody can do it! No previous art experience necessary.
This kind of work is for people who want to find ways to connect more meaningfully with others, be it professionally or personally. It can also help others improve their emotional wellbeing and guide individuals who are curious about art making but don’t know how to start their creative journey. Only adults are welcome to this kind of workshop, however, what is learned during the session can be easily done with children at home.
